BlogHer, Ballet and More

Today Cincinnati Women Bloggers gathered at the Cincinnati Ballet to talk about BlogHer, and blogging conferences in general.

The conversation surrounding the popular blogging conference centered on feedback/insights from local bloggers who’d attended. Each blogger brought a different perspective – coming from a broad range of niche’s as well as experience. (BlogHer if you are reading many said they were planning on submitting feedback).

Following the meeting Terry Honebrink, with the Cincinnati Ballet, shared information with us about the Ballet, and invited us to tour the facility. During the tour we had the chance to visit the Ballet’s amazing wardrobe room as well as see a talented young ballerina perform (Terry’s 17 yr old daughter).

If you’ve not visited the Cincinnati Ballet before, you really should check it out. I think many people would be surprised to know that the Ballet is more than the Nutcracker. They have performances year round, offer education and outreach programs, host adult classes and more. I encourage you to contact Terry for a tour.

If you’d like to check out the Cincinnati Ballet, they are actually hosting a FREE event – Ballet and Beer – on September 3rd.  It’s a fun, informal opportunity to have a drink and go behind-the-scenes to mingle with Ballet supporters and performers.

Reservations recommended :
Time: 5:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Cincinnati Ballet
1555 Central Parkway

A big THANK YOU to everyone who attended and to the Cincinnati Ballet for inviting us in, and sharing their organization with us!

Finally, congratulations to Diana Puppin with DP Design. She won our drawing for a pair of tickets to the Reds Blogger Outing on September 20th.

  1. This meeting was so much fun. I love the idea of a “theme” meeting. The next meeting sounds great, too. Can’t wait!
